The Chargers have signed Turner to a 1-year contract worth $2.3 million bucks. Turner played in 13 games last season for the Chargers and he carried the football 80 times for 502 yards (6.3 ypc) with 2 TD runs. Turner also caught 3 passes for 47 yards (15.7 avg). With LaDainian Tomlinson getting the bulk of the work running the football, the Chargers decided to let Turner return kickoffs and he did a great job of that. He returned 36 kickoffs for 954 yards (26.5 avg). The Chargers will likely use Turner as trade bait at the NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.Â

The Chargers want to continue to get younger on the offensive line and they can do that if these players are available. But the star of the show will be Dwyane Jarrett if he slides down to the Chargers pick….they need a WR really, really bad!
