Things were looking bad for the Chargers at halftime as they trailed the Bengals 28-7, but something happened in the locker room…..and the Chargers out-scored the Bengals 42-13 in the second half to win the game!!!  Philip Rivers had an awesome game completing 24 of 36 passes for 337 yards and 3 TDs.  LaDainian Tomlinson had a fine game too, carrying the ball 22 times for 104 yards (4.7 ypc) and 4 TDs, he also caught 6 passes for 54 yards.  Little-used WR Malcolm Floyd had a huge game with 5 catches for 109 yards and a TD.  Antonio Gates caught 5 passes for 69 yards.  Brandon Manumaleuna caught 2 passes for 14 yards and they were both TDs!

The defense didn’t play too well except for Donnie Edwards (16 tackles) and Shaun Phillips (6 tackles, sack, fumble recovery).  The Bengals ran the ball 28 times for 124 yards (4.4 ypc).  The Chargers allowed the Bengals to complete 31 of 42 passes for 421 net yards passing.

This was an unbelievable game to watch.  I’m still stunned that the Chargers won this football game!
