Chargers look pathetic against the Bears

The Chargers only managed 3 points on offense Friday night.  Philip Rivers completed 9 of 14 passes for 75 yards and an interception that was returned 64 yards for a TD by Brian Urlacher.  Charlie Whitehurst didn’t do much better completing 11 of 19 passes for 97 yards and a interception.  The lone bright spots for the Chargers were their running backs and their defense.  Michael Turner carried the ball 6 times for 55 yards.  Ray Perkins (a second year player from SE Louisiana) rushed 12 times for 40 yards and caught 4 passes for 28 yards.

The defense held the Bears offense to 189 total yards.  The special teams even had a horrid play giving up a 100 yard kick-off return to Rashied Davis.

The Chargers will have a lot to learn from this game film.
